7 Years of YoshiMan by YoshiMan1118 7 Years of YoshiMan by YoshiMan1118
[I feel I need to add that this is 7 years of drawing internet cartoons. Not 7 years on deviantART.]

That's right...... today marks the anniversary of YoshiMan's 1st cartoon ever posted on the internet (-of Peach holding a bottle of hotsauce, and Yoshi's tongue. Threatening to drip hotsauce on Yoshi's tongue.). So since 2007, I've been a thing. :b Wow..... I've been in the game quite a while. Anyways... I don't wanna get super long winded with this description... Quite simply I wanna thank each and every last one of my friends, and fans (even the ones who have given me problems by stalking me, and bugging me with countless notes. )... For sure I wouldn't be here without all the support from you guys. :]

Let me just say to all those who make their own cartoons, and want to be as (I wouldn't exactly say-) successful as I've been, that it does not matter if you make perfect anatomy, or make super awesomely shaded and overly detailed art. Don't be afraid to mess up on something. Don't be afraid to try something new. Don't be afraid to go over the top with expressions, and anatomy. Cartoons are supposed to be fun. HAVE FUN making super long noodly armed characters that walk with their legs spread wide open, and smiling as big as the grand canyon. :m Stop being an over perfectionist. If you do, or don't draw well, it doesn't matter. Just enjoy yourself. There's no such thing as imperfection, when it comes to cartoons. (That's my opinion, anyways... agree, or disagree if you please.)

Anyways, hope y'all like. Thank you all again for the support over the years. Here's to many more. :m *raises glass, to toast*

That's like, 14 in internet years. =P

I'd say you're right about the whole "draw for fun" thing. I have perfectionist tendencies and I've tried it both ways. You can try to be a perfectionist every now and then, but it's best to just do something quick and fun again and again to get better, rather than stressing over one drawing for a long time.

Yes, here's to the years to come! *raises toast to glass*

Yeah yeah, I'm an old fart. :m But I don't think farts can last for 14 years, let alone 14 minutes. :m I'm more like an over preserved, and periodically re-hydrated piece of poop. :v

And for sure, the perfectionism somewhat hits me too. Because you don't wanna produce work that looks WORSE than somethings you've drawn like 3 years ago. So it feels a tad stressful trying to keep yourself from dipping too far down in quality. But that's mainly for people that display their work. I notice with my unposted personal works, I go for the crappiest, most quickliest quality, and don't give 2 hoots. And SOMEHOW it still looks far better than a lot of my artwork. Even better than some (old) pieces I've posted here. :m

But yeah... as long as each piece you draw is for fun, it shouldn't matter at all if it's better or worse...

Poo can fossilize. I touched some dino-poo once. 8u You are fossilized dino-poo. =U

Yeah, I know the feeling. I work really hard on a project and fail but the lazy thing I draw out of frustration ends up looking great! XD I really need to practice on the mass-production side of cartooning.

*takes a bite out of your toast*

Wow! You've been around for that long? I've actually been doing Yoshi Art since 2006, but I haven't posted it on the internet until 2010, since my parents banned me, and I moved out in 2010.
