Hollowing YoshiMan by YoshiMan1118 Hollowing YoshiMan by YoshiMan1118
*Reads message on the ground*

"Try patience

therefore

waiting!"

:b

Anyways... those who can get a laugh out of the above message has been playing Dark Souls II as much as I have. :b I've been wanting to play the 1st one, but easy access to the game was not an option for me, so it drifted off my radar till I heard Dark Souls II was coming soon. In fact this is my 1st time playing any of the games in series, and I'm wanting to kick myself for missing out on them for so long. For sure whenever I'm done with Dark Souls II, I'll be taking a trip back to the other 2 games (Demon's Souls, and Dark Souls)...

Anyways, in a short way to explain the game...... IT'S TOUGH AS BALLS!!! But it's not impossible. You pretty much create a character, select a class(Warrior, Hunter, Sorcerer, etc.), and go on an ol' action RPG quest across the land to kill stuff and gather souls. :m Use the souls to level up your character, and [yada yada progress whatever story lies within the game]... As said, the game is tough as balls. It doesn't do any purely unavoidable death traps or anything. But there are things that can insta-kill you. And trust me, you will die A LOT in this game. As you repeatedly die, your character starts to turn Hollow.... which pretty much means become a zombie. And the more you die, the worse your character's look, and stats will become. Sounds unfair, but it really encourages you to not be reckless and die a ton of times. Oh, and when you die, you also lose all your souls. (unless you have a particular ring that spares your souls, and your skin, upon death. :n) But fear not, if you absolutely can't stand your character not having complected skin... you just simply use an item called a Human Effigy to restore humanity to your being.

As I normally would, I'd recommend this game or series be played, but if you don't welcome a challenge that will possibly leave your swearing at the air, in the direction of your TV/monitor... then don't bother with it.

Anyways... hope y'all like. :n

ps- No that's not my actual in-game gear. It just shares similarities. :m

Hah! Another animation I wasn't expecting to change! XD Nice. Strangely enough, this time I wasn't so much startled as exited. =P

Funny how the not so scary one was the one to startle you, but this one didn't. :n Was quite the opposite for a few others, tho. :m

All 3 of them at the same time... I agree. But 1 on 1, they're not so bad.

Just gotta get used to diving behind them and hitting them enough to where you can get a dodge in, if they attack you again.

I can only kill the first one, then the other two get to me. Started as a sorcerer, so I don't have a lot of strength. Haven't played it in a while, but I think he's using a heide knight sword.

It's kinda hard to do, telling how I'm bad at the game. Dark Souls I was a lot easier. *great at pvp* Bell Gargoyles are so hard in II >.<

Yeah, I had to go another route before going back to the Ruin Sentinels... As far as the Gargoyles, I accidentally skipped over them for quite the long time, until I found them close to when I beat the game... So I was pretty tough myself. (still had to heal about 5 million times, though. :v )

I'd offer to help you with it, but 1, I dunno what system you have it on(I have it on PS3), and 2... I kinda don't wanna give out my PS3 username to people. (I kinda don't want thousands of dA users shooting me friend requests as much as they do on Wii U.)

Kinda stuck between the Sinner and the Rotten right now. I've died so many times to the rotten I'm at half hp. Gonna need to find some effigies next time I play. My brother kinda beat the sentinels for me (he was showing me the whole place and just kinda did it for me).

I play on Xbox. I understand why you wouldn't want to do it. I, personally, get pretty creeped out when I get random requests.

The Rotten was by far the worst thing I experienced. Even though there's a bonfire right next to him, so you don't need to run through too much poison again and again to get to him. I lost count of how many times I died on him. Probably the single most deaths I had in one place, the entire game. But yeah, the strategy I had for him was to stick to the back side of his left arm. Wait for him to swing, then chop him 2-3 times. (or use magic, in your case.)

Also, make sure you're not weighed down by heavy equipment. Being "naked"(light armor) would work best against him............. and hell, just about everything else in the game. Pretty much if your dodge is a flop, you're dead meat. :m
