Anyways... those who can get a laugh out of the above message has been playing Dark Souls II as much as I have. :b I've been wanting to play the 1st one, but easy access to the game was not an option for me, so it drifted off my radar till I heard Dark Souls II was coming soon. In fact this is my 1st time playing any of the games in series, and I'm wanting to kick myself for missing out on them for so long. For sure whenever I'm done with Dark Souls II, I'll be taking a trip back to the other 2 games (Demon's Souls, and Dark Souls)...

Anyways, in a short way to explain the game...... IT'S TOUGH AS BALLS!!! But it's not impossible. You pretty much create a character, select a class(Warrior, Hunter, Sorcerer, etc.), and go on an ol' action RPG quest across the land to kill stuff and gather souls. :m Use the souls to level up your character, and [yada yada progress whatever story lies within the game]... As said, the game is tough as balls. It doesn't do any purely unavoidable death traps or anything. But there are things that can insta-kill you. And trust me, you will die A LOT in this game. As you repeatedly die, your character starts to turn Hollow.... which pretty much means become a zombie. And the more you die, the worse your character's look, and stats will become. Sounds unfair, but it really encourages you to not be reckless and die a ton of times. Oh, and when you die, you also lose all your souls. (unless you have a particular ring that spares your souls, and your skin, upon death. :n) But fear not, if you absolutely can't stand your character not having complected skin... you just simply use an item called a Human Effigy to restore humanity to your being.

As I normally would, I'd recommend this game or series be played, but if you don't welcome a challenge that will possibly leave your swearing at the air, in the direction of your TV/monitor... then don't bother with it.
